Welcome to the website for the Monterey Highlands School, a diverse school community located in Monterey Park, California. Monterey Highlands School is a public elementary school serving grades Kindergarten through 8. We hope the information on these pages gives you a helpful snapshot of our school.

Our goal is to provide a quality education for every student and to prepare them well for the future. We can do this best by working closely with our parents and community. Please check our calendar for upcoming meetings and events and look into opportunities for volunteering at our school.

I would also like to remind you that families that make regular visits to the public library have very successful children who often qualify for honors classes in high school and score high on their S.A.T. tests. Please continue to read every day with your young children and to discuss with your older children the books they are reading. Thank you!
